Remove all jewelry such as rings, dog tags, bracelets, etc. If jewelry or tools contact positive electrical
circuits, a direct short may result. Damage to equipment, injury or death to personnel may occur.
Allow engine to cool before performing

Hot engine components will burn and

cause personnel injury.
CONNECTOR
MC 13
DDR TEST
(1) Turn ON ENGINE switch
(TM 9-2320-364-10).
(2) Select MODE 40 (CLEAR CODES) on
(3) Start engine (TM 9-2320-364-10).
(4) Run engine for one minute or until
CHECK ENGINE light (CEL) comes
ON.
(5) Select MODE 01 (ACTIVE CODES)
on DDR.
(6) Is Code 35 or any other codes
displayed on DDR.
(a) If any other code (except
ENGINE
Code 35) appears on DDR, turn
SWITCH
OFF ENGINE switch, and go to
Fault Index (Table 2-16).
(b) If Code 35 is displayed on DDR,
turn OFF ENGINE switch, and
replace DDEC ECM (Para 7-56).
CHECK
VERIFY REPAIR
ENGINE
(1) Turn ON ENGINE switch
(TM 9-2320-364-10).
(2) Clear codes on DDR (Para 2-11).
(3) If CEL does not stay ON, start engine
and run for 8 minutes or until CEL
DDR
comes ON.
DIAGNOSTIC
POWER
(a) If CHECK ENGINE light comes on
DATA READER
CABLE
for about five seconds and then
(DDR)
goes off, fault has been corrected.
Perform Steps (4) and (5) below.
(b) If CHECK ENGINE light comes on
and stays on, perform Steps (4)
and (5) below and go to Fault
(4) Turn OFF ENGINE switch.
(5) Disconnect DDR from DDL
connector MC13.
