(3) Measure spring lengths using spring tester (1).

Converter bypass valve spring, lockup shift

valve spring, and main pressure regulator valve

spring must be replaced if load-height

specifications, listed in table 22-1, are not met.

(4) Inspect two oil pump shafts (2). Replace oil

pump assembly if shafts are worn or damaged.
