D. CHART - 8 - NO "CHECK GAUGES" LIGHT (CGL) DURING BULB CHECK

NOTE - This chart is only to be used if:
-
1) All basic mechanical checks and physical inspections have been performed with no problem found; and,
2) Diagnosis of DDEC III/IV was started at step START-1, pg 2-539, and you have now been referred here.
STEP/SEQUENCE

Try to Force CGL on
Plug in DDR.
CGL is still off.
Go to C 8-2.
Turn ignition on.
Select activate outputs
CGL is on.
Go to C 8-4.
Activate CGL with DDR.

Check for Short
Remove jumper wire.
Less than
DDEC ignition circuit
Read voltage on vehicle harness
11.5 volts.
breaker (CB13) is blown, and/or
connector, socket B3 (red lead)
ignition line (ckt #439) is open
to a good ground (black lead).

problem. Then go to C 8-30.
Greater than
Go to C 8-3.
