TM 9-2320-364-20-1
Allow engine to cool before performing trouble-
shooting maintenance. If necessary use
insulated pads and gloves. Hot engine
components will burn and cause injury to
personnel.
Remove all jewelry such as rings, dog tags,
bracelets, etc. If jewelry or tools contact
positive electrical circuits, a direct short
may result. Damage to equipment, injury or
death to personnel may occur.
DDEC ECM connector terminals are easily
damaged. Use care when connecting and
disconnecting connectors.
RESISTANCE TEST
(1) Loosen screw and disconnect vehicle
harness connector MC18 at DDEC
ECM.
(2) Read resistance between wires 417
and 952 at TPS harness connector
MC6, terminals C and B.
(a) If there are more than 10,000
ohms present, repair wires 417
and/or 952 (see schematic
Fig 2-1) or notify DS Maintenance.
(b) If there are 10,000 ohms or less,
go to Step (3) below.
(3) Read resistance between wire 417
and a known good ground at TPS
harness connector, terminal B.
(a) If there are more than 10,000
ohms present, repair wire 417
(see schematic Fig 2-1) or notify
DS Maintenance.
(b) If there are 10,000 ohms or less,
go to Step 7 of this Fault.
