13-9. STEERING STOP BOLT REPLACEMENT/ADJUSTMENT (CONT)
NOTE

Go to step (49) if adjustment is
correct.

Steering stop bolt should be
turned
clockwise
to
increase
steering radius; counterclockwise
to decrease steering radius.

Turn steering wheel to straight ahead
position.

Loosen jam nut (29) and adjust right
steering stop bolt (30).

Tighten jam nut (29) on right steering stop
bolt (30).

Repeat steps (41) thru (44) to verify
adjustment.

Turn right rear steering stop bolt (20) out
until bolt contacts axle housing (21).

Turn right rear steering stop bolt (20) in
one turn.

Tighten jam nut (19) on right rear steering
stop bolt (20).

Turn steering wheel to the straight ahead
position.
(50.3)
Turn the steering wheel back to full right
position and confirm that there is a
minimum of 1/16 in. (1.59 mm) gap
between steering stop bolt (20) and axle
housing (21).
