Position commutator end housing (30) in
vise.
(13)
Remove four screws (35), lockwashers
(36), washers (37), brush holders (24),
and jumper (38) from commutator end
housing (30). Discard lockwashers.
(14)
Remove 12 insulation washers (39) and 4
bushings (40) from brush holders (24).
(15)
Turn commutator end housing (30) over
and secure in vise.
(16)
Remove nut (41), washer (42), two
belleville washers (43), one washer (44),
and insulator (45) from ground stud (7).
(17)
Remove ground stud (7), washer (46),
plastic
washer
(47),
two
preformed
packings (48), and bushing (49) from
commutator end housing (30). Discard
preformed packings.
(18)
Remove plug (50) and wick (51) from
commutator end housing (30).
NOTE
Do step (19) only if bushing fails
inspection.
(19)
Remove bushing (52) from commutator
end housing (30).
