TM 9-2320-360-34-1 3-17.  FLEXPLATE ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT This task covers: a.  Removal c.  Installation b.  Cleaning/Inspection d.  Follow-On Maintenance INITIAL SETUP Equipment Condition Materials/Parts Transmission removed (para 7-4).   Compound, No.  2, International (Item 21, Appendix B) Tools and Special Tools Solvent, Dry Cleaning (Item 54, Appendix B) Tool Kit, Genl Mech (Item 202, Appendix E) Compressor Unit, Air (Item 24, Appendix E) Goggles, Industrial (Item 57, Appendix E) Wrench, Torque, 0-175 Lb-Ft (Item 236, Appendix E) a. Removal (1) Remove  12  screws  (1)  and  plate  (2)  from hub (3). (2) Remove  four  disks  (4)  and  disk  (5)  from hub (3). (3) Remove  12  screws  (6),  plate  (7),  and  hub (3) from crankshaft (8). b. Cleaning/Inspection WARNING Dry cleaning solvent P-D-680 Is toxic and flammable.  Wear protective goggles and gloves  and  use  only  In  a  well-ventilated  area.    Avoid  contact  with  skin,  eyes,  and clothes, and don't breathe vapors.  DO NOT use near open flame or excessive heat. The flash point Is 100-138° F  (38-59°C).    If  you  become  dizzy  while  using  cleaning solvent,  get  fresh  air  Immediately  and  medical  aid.    If  contact  with  eyes  Is  made, wash your eyes with water and get medical aid Immediately.
