When the damaged area is covered, twist the ends of the wire counterclockwise.
Tighten the twist to remove slack.
4.
Twist with pliers to tighten coils.
5.
Pry the twist to tighten coils even more.
6.
Repeat twist for secureness.
7.
Cut off ends and bend twisted portion down against rope.

Rolled-In Eye Splices.

Bend the rope from the end at a distance equal to the length of loop desired,
plus an additional length approximately 10 times the rope diameter. Split the rope
by separating three adjacent strands,
leaving the other strands and core intact.
