Organizational Maintenance Instructions (Cont)
a. Removal.
WARNING
Slider weighs 142 lbs. (64 kg). Attach suitable lifting device to prevent possible injury to
personnel.
NOTE
·
Left-side and right-side slider/pivot assemblies are identical unless noted.
·
Right-side slider/pivot assembly is shown.
(1)
Attach lifting device to slider assembly (1).
WARNING
Use care when removing snap and retaining rings. Snap and retaining rings are under
spring tension and can act as projectiles when released and could cause severe eye injury.
(2)
Remove retaining ring (2) and spacer (3) from pivot pin (4) and slider assembly (1). Discard
retaining ring.
(3)
Soldier A and Soldier B remove slider assembly (1) from arm assembly (5).
(4)
Position slider assembly (1) on clean work surface and remove lifting device.
