WARNING
If NBC exposure is suspected, personnel wearing protective equipment should handle all air cleaner
media. Consult your NBC Officer or NBC NCO for appropriate handling or disposal procedures.
NBC contaminated filters must be handled using adequate precautions (FM 21-40) and must be dis-
posed of by trained personnel. Failure to follow these instructions may cause injury or death.
REMOVAL
1.
Loosen hose clamp (1) securing dust ejector tube (2) to filter body (3). Remove hose.
2.
Remove two capscrews (4) and lockwashers (5), slide filter housing (6) off studs in air cleaner outlet pipe (7) and
remove from engine. Discard lockwashers.
3.
Remove gasket (8) from pipe assembly (7). Discard gasket.
