2.  GENERAL VEHICLE WARRANTY. Not withstanding inspection and acceptance by the Govern-
ment of the supplies furnished under the Contract or any provision of this Contract concerning the
conclusiveness thereof, AM General hereby warrants that the supplies are free from defects in design,
material, and workmanship and will conform with the specifications and all other requirements of
this Contract for a period of 15 months from date of acceptance, as shown on the Material Inspection
and Receiving Report (DD Form 250), or 12,000 miles road travel, whichever occurs first. For vehicles
delivered by driveaway method, the 12,000-mile warranty will be in addition to the mileage accumulated
by driveaway method. Additionally, to the extent AM General's suppliers/sub-contractor provide to
customers a greater warranty for the supplies furnished herein, AM General hereby likewise provides
such greater warranty to the Government.
3. ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION WARRANTY
a.  The engine is warranted for 100 percent parts and labor for vehicle located within the
United States and Canada for a period of 24 months or 100,000 miles, whichever occurs first. The
engine is warranted for 100 percent parts and labor for vehicles located outside the United States
and Canada for a period of 15 months or 100,000 miles, whichever occurs first.
b. The transmission is warranted for 100 percent parts and labor for a period of 15 months
or 50,000 miles, whichever occurs first, and pro rated through the balance of 24 months or 100,000
miles as detailed below:

4. SAFETY RECALL. If a Safety Recall defect occurs during vehicle warranty period, AM General
agrees to extend the term of the warranty by a period of time equal to the time period required to
make necessary safety defect corrections and return vehicle to user
