High pressure hydraulics [oil under 3000 psi (20,675 kPa) pressure] operate this equipment. Refer to
S
vehicle operator and maintenance manuals for hydraulic oil pressure. Never disconnect any hydraulic
line or fitting without first dropping pressure to zero. Failure to comply may result in injury to
personnel.
Fuel and oil are slippery and can cause falls. To avoid injury, wipe up spilled fuel or oil with rags.

NOTE
Use a drain pan to catch leaking hydraulic
oil.
FLOWMETER TEST
(1) Loosen jam nut on relief valve.
(2) Hold RH O/R JACK control lever
on RH side of truck in UP
position (TM 9-2320-364-10).
(3) Adjust relief valve by turning screw
left or right and observe pressure
gage.
(a) If 3000 to 3100 psi
(20,685 to 21,375 kPa) cannot be
obtained, perform Steps (4)
through (9) below and repair four
valve bank center manifold
(Para 16-26).
(b) If 3000 to 3100 psi
(20,685 to 21,375 kPa) can be
obtained, perform Steps (4)
through (8) below and notify
supervisor.
(4) Tighten jam nut on relief valve.
(5) Set crane POWER switch to
OFF position.
(6) Set hydraulic selector switch to
OFF position.
(7) Turn OFF ENGINE switch.
(8) Disconnect pressure gage from tube.
Discard preformed packing.
(9) Install cap with preformed packing on
tube.
