Remove plug (5) from flywheel access
hole (6) in flywheel housing (7) on lower
right side of engine (8).
(4)
Align hole in flexplate (9) with access hole
(6) in flywheel housing (7).
(5)
Attach
suitable
lifting
device
to
transmission (10).
(6)
Position and secure transmission (10) on
transmission lift (11).
(7)
Remove
two
screws
(12)
from
transmission
(10)
torque
converter
housing front upper holes (13).
WARNING
Transmission weighs approximately
1125 lb (510 kg). Properly support
transmission
during
installation.
Failure to comply may result in
serious injury to personnel.
NOTE
Alignment stud must go through hole
in flexplate and access hole in
flywheel housing.
(8)
Raise transmission (10) with transmission
lift (11) and install on engine (8) with aid of
assistant.
