TM 9-2320-360-34-1 4-2.  INJECTOR REPLACEMENT This task covers: a.  Removal c.  Placing in Service b.  Installation d.  Follow-On Maintenance INITIAL SETUP Equipment Conditions Materials/Parts Rocker arms removed (para 3-18).   Oil, Diesel Fuel (Item 38, Appendix B) Caps, Shipping (Item 13, Appendix B) Tools and Special Tools Tool Kit, Genl Mech (Item 202, Appendix E) Compressor Unit, Air (Item 24, Appendix E) Goggles, Industrial (Item 57, Appendix E) Wrench, Torque, 0-300 Lb-In.  (Item 235, Appendix E) a. Removal CAUTION Screws    are    designed    not    to    be removed.      Loosen   screws   only   two turns.    Failure  to  comply  may  result in damage to injector. NOTE All  injectors  are  replaced  the  same way. (1) Loosen  two  wire  terminal  retaining  screws (1) and remove wire harness (2). (2) Remove   screw   (3),   convex   washer   (4), and clamp (5). NOTE Injector   tube   hole   in   cylinder   head must be covered to keep dirt out. (3) Remove   injector   (6)   from   cylinder   head (7). WARNING Compressed air for cleaning purposes  will  not  exceed  30  psi  (207 kPa).      Use   only   with   effective   chip guarding     and     personal     protective equipment    (goggles/shield,    gloves, etc.). (4) Clean   exterior   of   each   injector   (6)   with diesel fuel.  Dry with compressed air. 4-2  Change 3
