NOTE
The special operational requirements of the HET Tractor have dictated a compact
design with the engine/transmission under the cab. Consequently, engine removal
is facilitated by removing the cab. The best way (fastest, most efficient, and
safest) to remove and replace the engine/transmission assembly is to first remove
the cab. Removing the cab provides the safest working environment. It allows
personnel greater access, reduces the likelihood of damage to components, and
minimizes working in cramped quarters with limited visibility. Finally, it provides
for the most efficient use of personnel, thus reducing vehicle down time.
