Service transfer case breather.
CASE
(1) Remove transfer case breather(1) from
elbow (2). Discard breather.
WARNING
Pipe thread sealing compound may burn or
give off harmful vapors. It is harmful to skin
and clothing. To avoid Injury or death, keep
away from open flame and use In well-vent-
ilated area. If pipe thread sealing compound
gets on skin or clothing, wash Immediately
with soap and water.
CAUTION
Use pipe thread sealing compound sparingly
only on pipe threads. Do not apply comp-
ound to hose connections. Failure to
comply may result in component failure.
(2) Coat threads of new breather (1) with
pipe thread sealing compound.
(3) Install new breather (1) in elbow(2).
