TM   9-2320-356-BD Option   2: Long  Wire  Antenna. 1. Strip   approximately   2   inches   of   insulation   from   one   end   of   the   wire. 2. Attach   the   bare   lead   to   the   center   of   the   antenna   connection   on   the   receiver   by jamming   it   into   the   hole. 3. Tape   or   tie   wire   to   the   antenna   connector   to   prevent   it   from   being   pulled   or vibrated   out   of   the   hole. 4. Stretch   out   wire   and   tie   an   improvised   insulator   to   the   opposite   end.   Place   a rope   or   wire   on   the   opposite   side   of   the   insulator   and   tie   off   the   slack   to   tree   or pole   to   create   as   near   vertical   an   antenna   as   possible. 5. Record  BDAR  action  taken. When   the   mission   is   complete,   as   soon   as practicable, repair   using   standard   maintenance   procedures. 15-5
