Troubleshooting Section

Engine Response The engine will remain at low

System Response:

Troubleshooting:

Conditions Which Generate This Code:

The supply voltage for the accelerator pedal

position sensor is too high.

The ECM detected one of the following conditions:

Open circuit

System Response:

Short to ground

Engine Response An active diagnostic code may

not cause any noticeable effect on engine response

Short to + battery

unless the voltage is significantly above 8 volts. The

engine may be limited to low idle.

Short across the solenoid when the engine is

running.

Troubleshooting:

Perform the following diagnostic procedure:

System Response:

"Accelerator Pedal (Throttle) Position Sensor Circuit

Electronic System Response The ECM will cycle
