HEATER/AC UNIT REPLACEMENT - CONTINUED

REMOVAL - CONTINUED
CAUTION
Water and dirt can damage refrigerant system. Refrigerant lines should be capped after disconnection to
avoid contamination.
NOTE
Refer to WP 0156 00 for instructions on properly disconnecting/connecting AC lines.
Tag AC hoses to ensure correct installation.
7.
Disconnect two A/C lines (17) from expansion valve (16).
8.
Remove two A/C lines (17) and grommets (18) from housing of heater/AC unit (1).
9.
Remove six screws (12) and mounting panel (13). Remove six screws (14) and mounting panel (15).
10.
Remove three nuts (19) and screws (20) from instrument panel frame (21) and top of heater/AC unit (1).
10.1. Loosen two clamps (22) and remove two flex hoses (23) from top of heater/AC unit (1).
WARNING
Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use assistance during
procedure. Failure to follow this warning may result in injury to personnel.
11.
With assistance, lift heater/AC unit (1) from cab and remove.
