Run engine 800 to 1000 rpm (6) at no load for 3 to 5 minutes to reduce turbocharger speed and allow engine and turbocharger to cool. Cool -down time will depend on how hard the engine was worked. 5. 6. 7. Apply PARKING BRAKE control (7) before shutting down the engine. Lower engine speed to normal idle and hold ENGINE STOP switch (8) in Up position until engine stops. This engages a solenoid on the engine which shuts off fuel supply to cylinders.
