REMOVE GLAND (3) from piston rod (4).
7.
REMOVE and DISCARD PACKING (9) and
WASHER (10) from gland (3).
8.
REMOVE and DISCARD SEAL (11 and
SEAL (12) from gland (3).
9.
IF DAMAGED, REMOVE FITTING (13).
INSPECTION
1.
Inspect piston, piston rod, and cylinder for
scratches or scoring.
2.
Inspect threads on piston rod, cylinder, and
gland for wear or damage.
