BACKHOE DIPPER CYLINDER REPAIR (CONT)
1 1 . USING suitable PRESS, REMOVE two
BUSHINGS (19) from cylinder (4).
12. IF DAMAGED, REMOVE lubrication FITTING
(20).
Inspect piston, piston rod, and cylinder for

scratches or scoring.
Inspect threads on piston rod, bolt, cylinder,

and gland for wear or damage.
NOTE
A p p l y coat of lubricating oil to
packings and seal prior to
assembly.
I F REMOVED, INSTALL new lubrication
1.
FlTTING (1).
2.
USING suitable PRESS, INSTALL BUSHING
(2) in eye of piston rod (3).
I F REMOVED, INSTALL new lubrication
3.
FITTING (4).
4.
U S I N G suitable PRESS, INSTALL two
BUSHINGS (5) in cylinder (6).
