REAR BRAKE CALlPER REPAIR (CONT)
2.
REMOVE PLUG (2), seal ring (3), and lock
nut (4). DISCARD seal RING and lock NUT.
TO REMOVE two CAPS (5 and 6) on LEFT
3.
c a l i p e r , TURN adjusting SHAFT (7) and
adjusting PIN (8) to LEFT until two pistons (9
and 10) are fully drawn in. REMOVE and
DISCARD two CAPS (5 and 6).
4.
TO REMOVE two CAPS (5 and 6) on RIGHT
c a l i p e r , TURN adjusting SHAFT (7) and
adjusting PIN (8) to RIGHT until two pistons
(9 and 10) are fully drawn in. REMOVE and
DISCARD two CAPS (5 and 6).
R E M O V E two PISTONS (9 and 10) by
5.
REVERSING either STEP 3 or 4 depending
on which caliper is being disassembled.
IF DAMAGED, REMOVE bleeder VALVE (11).
