FUEL INJECTOR NOZZLE TEST AND REPAIR (CONT)
1.
INSTALL injector NOZZLE (1) in HOLDING
DEVICE.
2.
USING WRENCH, REMOVE NUT (2) from
body (3).
REMOVE spacer disc (4), PLUNGER (5),
3.
spring (6), and spacer (7) from body (3).
4.
REMOVE nozzle (8) and nozzle BODY (9)
from nut (2).
CLEANING
1.
Clean body, nozzle body, and nozzle using
clean diesel fuel.
2.
Place nozzle in nozzle body.
Lift nozzle one-third of the way out of nozzle
3.
body and release nozzle.
4.
Nozzle should seat in nozzle body by itself. If
nozzle does not seat, clean both parts again.
If nozzle still does not seat in nozzle body,
replace both nozzle and nozzle body.
5.
Clean remaining parts in clean diesel fuel.
Make sure all carbon deposits have been
removed.
