REPLACEMENT

Safety Relief Valve
1.
Warm hydraulic oil by cycling circuits to be tested.
2.
Place backhoe in three-point stance (TM 5-2420-224-20).
3.
Shut off engine.
4.
Disconnect hydraulic tube from port to be tested.
5.
Connect hand pump in port to be tested.
6.
Stroke hand pump until sufficient pressure is built up in circuit to open safety relief valve.
7.
Continue to stroke hand pump until all air has been pumped out of lines.
8.
Record highest pressure and compare with allowable pressures shown below:
