TRANSMISSION ACCESS COVER REPLACEMENT (CONT)
DISCONNECT SPRING (12) from clutch slave
5.
cylinder (13).
REMOVE four SCREWS (14), four washers
6.
(15), and four spacers (16) and SET clutch
slave CYLINDER (13) aside.
7.
REMOVE six screws (17) and transmission
access COVER (18).
INSTALLATION
NOTE
Make sure both mating surfaces
a r e completely clean prior to
applying sealing compound.
While performing step 1, make
sure access cover pin is
e n g a g e d with shifting fork in
transmission.
WARNING
Adhesive causes immediate
bonding on contact with eyes,
s k i n , or clothing and also gives
off harmful vapors. Wear
p r o t e c t i v e goggles and use in
w e l l - v e n t i l a t e d area. If adhesive
g e t s in eyes, try to keep eyes
o p e n ; flush eyes with water for
1 5 minutes and get immediate
m e d i c a l attention.
APPLY COAT of SEALING COMPOUND to
1.
b o t h mating SURFACES and INSTALL
t r a n s m i s s i o n access COVER (1) and six
screws (2).
2.
POSITION clutch slave CYLINDER (3) and
INSTALL four spacers (4), four washers (5),
and four SCREWS (6).
C O N N E C T SPRING (7) to clutch slave
