Measure inside diameter of bushing. If

Inspect piston for damage. Replace If

Check end gap of each ring by inserting

squarely into cylinder and measuring with
feeler gage. Gap should be 0.016-0.026 in.
(0.406-0.660 mm).

Check piston ring side clearance with new
rings installed. Ring side clearance should be
0.0004-0.0018 in. (0.010-0.045 mm). If side
clearance is not within this measurement,
replace piston.
