If installing loader control valve to left loader boom cylinder oil line, skip step 28.

Hoses
Clamp (3)

Place into position as noted during
(1 and 2)
removal.

Using 1/4-inch flat-tip screwdriver,
tighten.

Union (4)
Nut (5)
Screw on all the way.

New packing (6)
Place into position.

Loader boom
Union (4) with
a
Unplug cylinder(7).

Screw in to same relative position as
noted during removal using 1-inch
open-end wrench.

Loader boom
Nut (5)
Using two 1-inch open-end wrenches,
cylinder (7)
tighten until seated against loader boom
and union (4)
cylinder.

Union (4)
Hose (8)

Take off tag.

Screw in and tighten using 7/8-inch
and 1-inch open-end wrenches.
34.
Loader
Transmission
Check fluid level and add proper amount
backhoe
and grade (TM 5-2420-222-10).
35.
Engine
Start and run at high idle
(TM 5-2420-222-10).

Loader control
a.
Operate lift arms (TM 5-2420-222-10)
valve-to-boom
and check for leaks.
cylinder head end
b.
If leaking at any connection, tighten
oil lines
using 7/8-inch and two 1-inch open-
end wrenches.
c.
If leaking does not stop, shut down
engine (TM 5-2420-222-10) and
replace leaking connection packing,
fitting, or line as outlined in this
task.
d.
If found leaking, repeat steps 34
thru 36.
