a. Removal
(1) Use a wire brush to clean all
carbon from around the inner
surface of the cylinder liners.
(2) Turn the crankshaft until two
pistons are bottom center.
NOTE
Keep each connecting rod cap (2)
together with its respective
connecting rod and piston (5).
Connecting rod and cap are
machined as a set and must be
kept that way.
(3) Use a wrench to remove two nuts
(l), connecting rod cap (2), and
bearing half (3) from connecting
rod.
