(3) Put clean lubricating oil on

the valve stem.

(4) Install valve (16), spring (15),

and rotocoil (14) in the

cylinder head.

If the lock is not correctly

installed on the valve stem, it

will unseat and be thrown with

force when the spring compressor

is released. The thrown lock

could cause serious personal

injury.

(5) Compress the valve spring (15)

and correctly install the locks

(13).

(6) Slowly release the valve spring

compressor and remove it from the

valve.

(7) Lightly tap the top of the valve

with a soft head hammer to be

sure the locks (13) are installed

correctly.

(8) Perform STEPS 3 through 7 for

the remainder of the valves.
