9.
Install Idler Gears.
a.
Cool bearing cups (20) to approximately 32F (0C).
b.
Install inner bearing cup (20) in case (5).
c.
Install outer bearing cup (20) in bearing cage (10).
WARNING
Hot oil or metal parts can cause severe burns. Wear insulated gloves, long sleeves and eye protection when
working with heated parts.
d.
Heat bearing cones (18 and 19) in oil to a maximum of 275F (135C).
e.
Install bearing cones (18 and 19) on ends of pinion gear (17).
