WATER TEMPERATURE REGULATOR MAINTENANCE - CONTINUED

INSTALLATION
CAUTION
If water temperature regulator is installed wrong, engine will overheat.
1.
Install water temperature regulator (7) in cylinder

head, with spring toward inside of engine. Install flow

control (bypass) valve (8).

2.
Install new gasket (6) and elbow flange (5) over water
temperature regulator (7).

3.
Install three capscrews (3) and capscrew (4).
4.
Slide hose (2) in position and tighten two clamps (1).

5.
Fill cooling system (WP 0065 00).

6.
Run engine and check for leaks (TM 5-2410-237-10)
or pressure test system (WP 0066 00).
