TM 9-2320-360-34-1 2-4.  INTRODUCTION TO LOGIC TREE TROUBLESHOOTING (CONT) (3) J1708 Menu Commands (a) Setup  Menu  Commands.    The  commands  in  this  section  allow  the  operator  to  customize  to  main display area of the program.  The operator has the option of selecting a previously displayed for mat and save a new display format. 1.  New. The  New  command  will  delete  all  items  that  are  on  the  Data  Display  Window.    This includes all display setups and data.  Do not use this command if you wish to delete only data information. 2.  Load. The Load command allows the  user  to  select  and  load  a  Display  Setup  File  which  has been   previously   saved.      These   file   names   will   be   listed   on   the   display   and   will   be identified by the extension ‘’ .jdi".    Only  files  with  the  ".jdi"  extension  are allowed to load. 3.  Save. The Save  command  allows  the  user  to  save  a  custom  display  as  a  new  Display  Setup File.    The  new  file  name  must  contain  no  more  than  eight  characters,  followed  by  the ".jdi" extension. 4.  Save As.The Save As command allows the user to save a Display Setup File  under  a  different  file name.  With this command, the operator can copy a frequently used Display Setup so it can  be  modified  for  a  new  need.    The  new  file  name  must  contain  no  more  than  eight characters, followed by the ".jdi" extension. 5.  Delete. The  Delete  command  allows  the  user  to  delete  a  Display  Setup  File.    Only  a  file  with  a ".jdi" extension is allowed to be deleted. 6.  Define. The  Define  command  allows  define  CTS  J1708  options.    When  Define  is  selected,  four choices are given: Connector. Allow  user  to  select  the  DCA  connector  or  the  diagnostic  data  link  (DDL) connector located inside the electrical control box (ECB). Bus. Not applicable. Data. Allows the user to select and deselect the data lines displayed on the main display  area  of  the  screen.    The  information  will  be  displayed  in  a  text format. Graphics. The  operator  can  select  between  three  types  of  graphics  readouts:  digital readout, bar graph readout, or gage readout. 2-6  Change 2
