Remove all jewelry such as rings, dog tags, bracelets, etc. If jewelry or tools contact positive electrical circuits, a direct short
may result. Damage to equipment, injury or death to personnel may occur.
NOTE
Glow pin should have a nominal 2 ohms resistance.
CONTINUITY TEST
(1) Connect positive (+) lead to glow pin
top terminal.
(2) Connect negative (-) lead to glow pin
bottom terminal.
(3) Is continuity measured across glow
pin?
(a) If there is no continuity, replace
arctic heater glow pin
(Para 18-2.2).
(b) If there is continuity, replace arctic
heater control unit (Para 18-2.2).
