(27) Install retainer plate (35) on planetary
carrier (34) and input shaft (32) with new
lockwasher (36) and screw (37). Torque
to 276 lb-in. (31.2 Nm).
WARNING
Wear eye protection and use care
when Installing retaining rings.
Retaining rings are under spring
tension and can act as projectiles
when released causing severe eye
Injury.
(28) Install new retaining ring (38) on sun gear
(39).
(29) Install sun gear (39) in planetary carrier
(40).
(30) Insert new retaining ring (41) into
planetary carrier (40) and install on end of
sun gear (39).
(31) Slide planetary carrier (40) with sun gear
(39) into planetary carrier (34).
