22-17. REAR COVER AND FIRST CLUTCH REPAIR (CONT)
(5) Position new gasket (5) on transmission
assembly (6) and align holes.
(6) Install lifting device to yoke (7).
NOTE
There are two different size dowel
pins on screw flange face of rear
cover to help align cover with
transmission.
(7) Lift rear cover (8) and position over
transmission assembly (6) while assistant
operate lifting device.
Align holes in
transmission assembly and rear cover.
(8) Install 24 new lockwashers (9), 21 screws
(10), and 3 screws (11). Torque to 67-80
lb-ft (91-108 N m).
f. Follow-On Maintenance
(1) Install planetary gears (para 22-16).
(2) Install governor (para 7-6).
