TM9-2320-360-20-3 Section 4 TROUBLESHOOTING CHARTS E.   FLASH   CODE: 13 J1587   CODE: P111  4  -  COOLANT  LEVEL  CIRCUIT  FAILED  LOW  (LOW  VOLTAGE) NOTE  - This chart is only to be used if: 1) All basic mechanical checks and physical inspections have been performed with no problem found, and 2) Diagnosis of DDEC-lll was started at step START-1, pg H-25 and you have now been referred here. STEP/SEQUENCE 13-1   Sensor   Check l Turn  ignition  off. l Disconnect  CLS  connector. l Turn  ignition  on. l Start   engine. l Read  active  codes. l Stop   engine. 13-2 Check   CLS Connectors l Inspect  terminals  at  the  CLS connector  for  damage;  bent, corroded,  and  unseated  pins  or sockets.  Also  ensure  wires are  not  reversed  at  the  CLS. 13-3 Check for Short to Ground l Turn  ignition  off. l Disconnect  the  vehicle  harness connector  at  the  ECM. l Read  resistance  between  sockets A  &  B  of  the  CLS  connector. RESULT WHAT  TO  DO  NEXT Code  P111/3  (and Go  to  16-1. any  other  codes). Code  P111/4  (and Go  to  13-3. any  other  codes). Greater  than 10,000  ohms  or  open. Go  to  13-2. Terminals  and connectors  are  okay. Replace CLS (para 7-10). Then  go  to  13-30. Problem  found. Repair    terminals/connectors (para  7-77).  Then  go  to  13-30. Less  than  or Signal line (ckt #115) is shorted equal  to  10,000  ohms. to  ground  (ckt  #953).  Repair short.  Then  go  to  13-30. H-117
