CAUTION
Transfer case oil must be
changed whenever there is
evidence of oil breakdown or
contamination. Oil breakdown
or
contamination
may
be
caused
from
overheating
transfer case and is indicated
by discoloration, strong odor,
or oil analysis.
Check transfer case oil lines and fittings for
leakage and damage
TRANSFER CASE OIL
LEVEL CHECK
(1)
Turn engine off and chock
wheels (TM 9-2320-360-10).
(2)
Place suitable container under
transmission drain plug.
(3)
Remove oil level plug from
transfer case.
(4)
Inspect oil for contaminants
(5)
Install oil level plug on transfer
case.
