POWER TAKE-OFF (PTO) REPLACEMENT - CONTINUED

INSTALLATION
WARNING
Dry cleaning solvent MIL-PRF-680 Type III is an environmentally compliant and low toxic material. How-
ever, it may be irritating to the eyes and skin. The use of protective gloves and goggles is suggested. Use in
well-ventilated areas. Keep away from open flames and other sources of ignition.
1.
Ensure mounting surfaces of transmission and PTO (3) are clean. Use dry cleaning solvent as needed to remove all
traces of old gasket material.
2.
Install elbow (2) to PTO (3).
WARNING
Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support while installing. Failure to follow
this warning may result in injury to personnel.
3.
Position new gasket (6) and PTO (3) to right side of transmission.
4.
Install ten new bolts (7). Tighten bolts to 38-45 lb-ft (51-61 Nm).
5.
Connect electrical lead (5) to fuse holder (4).
