5.
If damaged, remove two nuts (27) from welded studs (23). Remove two nuts (25), bolts (26), and each mounting bracket
(14) from frame bracket (24).

FUEL TANK RETAINING BANDS, TOP PLATFORM, AND MOUNTING BRACKETS INSTALLATION
1.
If removed, install each mounting bracket (14) to frame bracket (24) with two bolts (26) and nuts (25), and two nuts (27)
on welded studs (23).
2.
Install top platform (15) to two step mounting brackets (17) with four screws (22).
3.
Secure carriage bolt (18) to each retaining band (13) with new lockwasher (20) and nut (21).
4.
Position cushion strip (19) to each retaining band (13). Pass band through square hole in step mounting bracket (17) and
install to mounting bracket (14) with nut (16).
5.
Install fuel tank (Refer to Fuel Tank Installation).
