ENGINE OIL AND OIL FILTER REPLACEMENT - CONTINUED

DRAINING

Operate engine until normal operating temperature is reached. Shut down engine (TM 9-2320-312-10).

When servicing this vehicle, performing maintenance, or disposing of materials such as engine coolant,

transmission fluid, lubricants, battery acids or batteries, consult your unit/local hazardous waste disposal

center or safety office for local regulatory guidance. If further information is needed, please contact The

Remove drain plug (2) and o-ring seal from oil pan (1). Allow all oil to drain. Dispose of oil in accordance with local

policy and ordinances. Discard o-ring seal.

Clean drain plug (2) and inspect for damage. Reinstall new o-ring seal and drain plug and tighten to 20 lb-ft (27 Nm).
