TM 9-2320-304-14&P 4-234.33 Organizational Maintenance Instructions (Cont) b. Disassembly. (1) Remove grease fitting (1) from end of long strut (2). WARNING Use care when removing snap and retaining rings. Snap and retaining rings are under spring tension and can act as projectiles when released and could cause severe eye injury. (2) Remove retaining ring (3), spacer (4), and bearing (5) from long strut (2). (3) Remove wire rope (6), quick release pin (7), and pin (8) from cushion clip (9). NOTE Perform step (4) if wire rope is damaged. (4) Remove two swaging sleeves (10) from wire rope (6). NOTE · Perform steps (5) and (6) if pin end is damaged. · Screw is used to secure pin end to long strut. · Note position of pin end prior to removal. (5) Remove screw (11) and cushion clip (9) from long strut (2). (6) Remove pin end (12) from end of long strut (2). Change 1
