Pour or squirt two ounces of specified drive unit lubricant (Item 33, WP 0312 00) into the oil pump to filter
passage.

CAUTION
If the filter is tightened more than one turn after contacting gasket, damage to the filter may result.

Coat the face of the gasket on the new oil filter (24) with the gear lube (Item 33, WP 0312 00). Install the
oil filter on gear cover (17) and tighten one full turn after the gasket contacts the base, using a filter strap
wrench. Do not overtighten.
