Lift lower brakeshoe (6) and remove return spring (7).

Rotate lower brakeshoe (6) away from s-cam (9).

Remove two retaining springs (8), upper and lower brakeshoes (1 and 6), and two anchor pins (10).

CLEANING AND INSPECTION
Clean rear brakeshoes and components in accordance with WP 0299 00.

Measure brake lining thickness. Thickness must be NO LESS than 1/4 in (6.4 mm). If brake lining is less than 1/4 in (6.4
mm), replace brakeshoes.
3.
Measure clearance between top of brake lining and top of all rivet heads. Clearance must be a minimum of 1/32 in (0.8
mm). If clearance is less than 1/32 in (0.8 mm), replace brakeshoes.
4.
Inspect all remaining brakeshoe parts in accordance with WP 0299 00.
