d. Lubricate steering column fit-
ting (16) and two U-joint grease
fittings (15) with grease (Item
18, WP 0305 00). Observe
purging from all seals until new
grease comes out. If grease does
not purge, manipulate U-joints
until purging occurs.

CAUTION
DO NOT use an automatic or power grease gun on fitting on trun-
nion side of steering gear because the rate of flow is too high.
High flow rate could force grease inside high-pressure seal, con-
taminating hydraulic system and promoting seal leakage.
