Section II. PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE CHECKS AND SERVICES (PMCS)
GENERAL
This section contains PMCS for the M911 Truck Tractor. The table lists checks, services, and
criteria to ensure that the vehicle is repaired for operation. Perform the checks and services in
Table 2-1 at the specified intervals, keeping in mind the following guidelines.
1. Do (B) preventive maintenance just before operating the equipment. Pay attention to
cautions and warnings.
2. Do (D) preventive maintenance during operation (during operation means to monitor
the equipment while it is actually being used).
3. Do (A) preventive maintenance right after operating the equipment. Pay attention to
the cautions and warnings.
4. Do (W) preventive maintenance weekly.
5. Do (M) preventive maintenance once a month.

PMCS PROCEDURES
Always do preventive maintenance in the same order. The pattern will become a habit, and
with practice, anything wrong will be seen in a hurry.
If something does not work or is not right, troubleshoot it with the instructions in this manual
and notify your supervisor.
If something looks wrong and you cannot fix it, write it on DA Form 2404 and notify your
supervisor. Do not accept or operate a M911 Truck Tractor with a discrepancy in the Equip-
ment is not reedy/available column.
Make sure you read the following before You start your PMCS.
1. Take along tools and cleaning cloths needed to make the required checks.
