HYDRAULIC OIL COOLER - CONTINUED

NOTE
There are two configurations of loader backhoe oil cooler. Both are maintained the same way. Oil cooler
for loader backhoes with Serial Numbers 319995 thru 342573 is shown.
REMOVAL
1.
Hose (1)
Clamp (2)

Place drain pan underneath.

Using 3/16-inch flat-tip screwdriver,
loosen.
WARNING
Be careful when draining hot fluids. Wear gloves to protect your hands from hot parts and fluids or severe
burns could result.
2.
Oil cooler (3)
Hose (1) with

Pull off.

Let fluid drain into drain pan.

Using 3/16-inch flat-tip screwdriver,
loosen.

Oil cooler (3) and
Screw (7) with
Using 9/16-inch, 3/8-inch drive socket,
front support (6)
assembled spring (8)
ratchet handle, and 5-inch extension,
unscrew and take out.

Take off.

Oil cooler (3) and

Using 5/16-inch flat-tip screwdriver,
and fan shroud (9)
unscrew and take out.
7.
Four radiator studs
Four nuts (12),

Using 1/2-inch, 3/8-inch drive socket,
(11) and oil
lockwashers (13),
5-inch extension, universal joint, and
cooler (3)
and washers (14)
ratchet handle, unscrew and take off.
b.
Get rid of lockwashers (13).
8.
Four radiator studs
Oil cooler (3)

Lift out.

Let fluid drain into drain pan.
