27-5. TEE GEAR BOX REPAIR (CONT)
WARNING
Adhesive-sealant can burn easily, can
give off harmful vapors, and is harmful
to skin and clothing. To avoid Injury
or death, keep away from open fire
and use in well-ventilated areas. If
adhesive-sealant gets on skin or
clothing, wash immediately with soap
and water.
NOTE
Remove and install each end plate
screw separately to ensure gear
adjustment.
(40) Remove four screws (26 and 27) separately
from end plates (19 and 22) and housing (25);
coat threads with adhesive-sealant and install.
Torque to 17 lb-ft (23 Nm).

sealing compound gets on skin or
clothing, wash immediately with soap
and water.
CAUTION
Use pipe thread sealing compound
sparingly, only on pipe threads. Do
not apply compound at hose
connections. Failure to comply may
result in component damage.
(41) Coat threads of three plugs (29) with pipe thread
sealing compound.
(42) Install three plugs (29) in housing (25).
