TM9-2320-360-20-3 Section 4 TROUBLESHOOTING CHARTS E.   FLASHCODE:   16 J1587   CODE: P111  3  -  COOLANT  LEVEL  CIRCUIT  FAILED  HIGH  (VOLTAGE  HIGH) NOTE - This chart is only to be used if: 1)  All  basic  mechanical  checks  and  physical  inspections  have  been  performed  with  no  problem  found,  and 2) Diagnosis of DDEC-III was started at step START-1, pg H-25 and you have now been referred here. STEP/SEQUENCE RESULT I WHAT  TO  DO  NEXT 16-1 Sensor  Check l Turn  ignition  off. l Disconnect  CLS  connector  and install  a  jumper  between  sockets  A and  B  of  the  CLS connector. l Attempt  to  start  and  run  engine  at idle  (TM  9-2320-360-10). l Read  active  codes. l Stop   engine. 16-2 Signal  and  Ground Circuit   Check l Turn  ignition  off. l Disconnect  the  vehicle  harness connector. l Read  resistance  between  socket H3  (ckt  #115)  on  the  vehicle harness  connector  and  a  good ground. 16-3 Check if Ignition Clrcuit  Breaker  Is  Open l Check  if  the  DDEC  ignition  circuit breaker  (CB11)  is  tripped. Engine  will not  start. Go to 16-3. Code  111/3  (and any other codes except  Code  111/4). Go to 16-2. Code  111/4  (and any  other  codes). Go to 16-5. Less  than  or equal to 5 ohms. Go  to  16-6. Greater  than 5 ohms or open. Either the CLS signal line (ckt #115) or the battery ground line is  open.  Repair  open.  Then  go to  16-30. Open  circuit  breaker. Reset  circuit  breaker. Then  go  to  16-4. Circuit  breaker is okay. Go  to  16-4. H-133
