Option 2:
Separable-Link Belts.
1.
To remove link, hold one of the links with pliers and pry the next link off
with a screwdriver.
2.
Adjust the tensioner assembly for minimum belt length.
3.
Assemble the belting as close as possible to the minimum belt length and snap
links together with pliers.
4.
Install the belt as shown.
This prevents undue strain on the belt links.
DIRECTION OF ROTATION
5.
Tighten with the vehicle belt tensioner.
6.
Record the BDAR action taken.
When the mission is completed, as soon as
practicable, repair using standard maintenance procedures.
